At Not Boring Supports, we don’t just “provide support” — we create opportunities.
We work alongside people to build confidence, independence, and real-world skills through everyday experiences, community connection, and hands-on programs.
HOW WE DO IT
One-on-one support focused on real outcomes — not just showing up
Social Skills programs that build confidence, communication, and connection
Hands-on training through The Not Boring Kitchen — real skills in a real environment
Community-based experiences that get people out, involved, and growing
WHO IT’S FOR
The right match changes everything. We take the time to connect people with the right support – because that’s where real progress happens
Real connection, Real consistency, Better Outcomes
WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT
We’ve taken what doesn’t work in traditional support and done it differently. More human, More practical, Less going through the motions

We’re growing — and we’re definitely not your average support crew.
At Not Boring Supports, we care. About our clients, our team, and actually doing things properly.
This isn’t a “turn up and tick a box” kind of job.
You’ll be helping people build independence, learn real-life skills, and have genuinely good days.
We work hard, we back each other, and we like to keep things human (with a bit of humour along the way).
If you want to be part of something that’s growing — and actually means something —
come join us.

Not Boring Supports was created by Glen and Carmela Baxter — a husband-and-wife team who believed disability support could be done better.
What started as a simple idea to make support more human, more connected, and far less “box-ticking” has grown into a community built around confidence, independence, and real-life skills.
Their connection to the sector is personal. Through lived experience, they understand that real progress comes from opportunity, connection, and people who genuinely care.
Today, Not Boring Supports is more than a service. It’s a place where people feel supported, seen, and part of something.
Carmela brings creativity and a strong hospitality background, shaping experiences like The Not Boring Kitchen.
Glen brings lived experience, resilience, and a grounded understanding of what meaningful support looks like.
Together, they’ve built something different — and they’re just getting started.

Carmela Baxter is the driving force behind Not Boring Supports and The Not Boring Kitchen — building a community where people with disability can develop real skills, confidence, and connection.
With over 20 years in hospitality and a personal connection to the disability sector, Carmela brings a hands-on, practical approach to support — combining real-world skill building with the warmth of genuine hospitality.
She’s not just running programs — she’s building environments where people can learn, grow, and be part of something. From Social Skills programs to creating a commercial kitchen and espresso bar for training, Carmela is reshaping what support can look like.
Her leadership is grounded in authenticity, high standards, and doing things properly. Everything she builds reflects one core belief: support should feel human, meaningful, and actually make a difference.
Carmela continues to grow Not Boring into something bigger — not just a service, but a place people want to be part of.

Standing alongside Carmela, Glen Baxter brings lived experience, resilience, and a grounded perspective to Not Boring Supports.
Having navigated vision impairment firsthand, Glen understands the importance of access, inclusion, and doing things properly — not just in theory, but in everyday life. His experience continues to shape how support is delivered across the business.
Glen plays a key role in keeping Not Boring real. His focus on equality, consistency, and genuine connection helps ensure the work being done actually reflects what people need.
Outside of the business, Glen is a passionate athlete, competing in cycling, archery, and air rifle shooting — a reflection of his belief that limitations don’t define what’s possible.
His presence within Not Boring isn’t just part of the story — it’s part of the foundation.
